Throughout her professional career, Priya has worked in leadership roles with Fortune 500 and other major organizations, gaining extensive experience in budgeting, strategic planning, negotiation, governance, problem-solving, and managing complex projects and teams.

She knows how to bring people with different perspectives together, make difficult decisions, and stay focused on results.

What truly defines Priya is not only her professional experience—it is her commitment to the community.

Long before she became a candidate, Priya was already showing up and getting involved. As the Founder of the Highbush Neighbourhood Association, she worked to connect neighbours, give residents a stronger voice, and bring attention to local concerns.

Her community involvement also includes regular volunteering and service with St. Paul’s on-the-Hill Community Food Bank, Dedicated Advocacy Resource Support (DARS) Pickering, Ajax-Pickering Road Watch, 100 Women Who Care Durham, and Royal Canadian Legion Branch 606.

This involvement has given Priya the opportunity to listen directly to residents, understand local concerns, and see firsthand where our community needs stronger advocacy.
